Scope: Maintain general ledger by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. Status: Full Time with Benefits Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.

  • Bank reconciliations.

  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency.

  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.

  • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.

  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns.

  • Support month-end and year-end close process.

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

  • Meets accounting financial objectives by analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

  • Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, preparing special reports.

  • Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.

  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.

  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.   • Familiar with financial accounting statements.

  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.

  • 2-4 years of accounting experience in accounting. Computer Skills:

  • Proficient Microsoft and Excel Physical Demands of Position: This is a largely sedentary role; however some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, carry files, lift boxes and open cabinets and bend or stand on a two step as necessary.

  • Licenses and Certifications: Other:

  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Assessment Test.

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred but open. Experience:
