Term employment is an employment status in which the Bank hires an individual for a designated period of time, not exceeding 2 years. The term employee can perform any job function within the Bank, receiving all the benefits of a regular status employee, except separation pay programs, merit increases, job posting capabilities or holding a corporate title. We are looking for a qualified candidate to work in our Item Processing department as a Business Analyst for a period of 1 year not to exceed 2 years.
Under limited supervision of either a senior analyst or section manager, this position provides technical support for more than one of the following activities: hardware support, software support, security management and internal network support for the UNIX based applications/platforms and the Windows NT server based applications/platforms within the five Item Processing sites. This also includes functionality and maintenance for the back-up domain controller.
Responsible for assisting the senior analysts in designing, installing, training, troubleshooting and maintaining the following Item Processing applications/platforms; Image Archive System, Image Reject Repair system, Receiving system, Image Return Items system, Check Free system and the Image Mark POD System.
Learns the business needs of assigned user areas and translates the needs into resolutions.
Assists in preparing functional requirements and feasibility studies by exhibiting a working knowledge of platform techniques as it relates to Item Processing.
Interacts with users and vendors.
Performs troubleshooting and recommends solutions.
Identifies project requirements and objectives.
Assists in technical implementation, particularly documentation, and exhibits a general working knowledge of implementation techniques and requirements, including installation standards, change control, and operational walk-throughs.
Responsible for providing Hot Line/Help Desk assistance by providing support to Image Archive clients/users, operational staff and helpdesk staff.
Responsible for performing system administration/maintenance for more than one application system/platforms, with the ability to utilize specialized knowledge to perform intermediate "upkeep" functions relating to the system.
Participates in preparing test plans, documents results and identifies the need for further testing.
May be responsible for preparing basic project plans; however will mostly assist with the project objectives and tasks.
May perform independent research as required to complete tasks required.
Intermediate understanding of networking, hardware components/devices and connectivity as they relate to the current Item Processing platforms, as well as the operating systems and security administration. Intermediate understanding of UNIX commands, NT commands and/or other application-specific commands as they relate to current Item Processing platforms. Intermediate understanding of program/application functionality as it relates to the assigned platform. Exhibit a good working knowledge of testing techniques and reporting requirements. Intermediate oral and written communication skills. Intermediate organization and planning skills. Intermediate working knowledge of the organizational structure and corporate culture and priorities. Flexibility to work on multiple systems and different business areas at the same time.
